Hi Kristylinn. That's a great question! No, the Ring Pet Tag does not have a GPS tracker. Pet Tag is a metal ID tag for pets that attaches to a pet’s collar with an included keyring. There's a scannable QR code on the back that links to a digital "Pet Profile" that must be set up in the Ring app. Each of your pets needs their own individual pet tag and "Pet Profile." The "Pet Profile" displays important information about the pet such as name, health issues, medication, and dietary needs. Once linked, any time the QR code is scanned it will open the "Lost Pet Flyer" for the pet, which includes critical information from the "Pet Profile." The flyer has a "Contact Owner" button, which allows the person who scanned the tag to make a call or send a text message anonymously to the pet’s owner. For safety and privacy reasons, both the scanner and the pet owner’s names and phone numbers remain anonymous unless either party chooses to share their information to help reunite the pet with the owner. If any additional information is needed regarding your Ring question, please reach out to our community team. The Ring Community is our first peer-to-peer community forum, giving our customers the ability to help one another by sharing their feedback and experiences with each other. You can find it here: https://community.ring.com/. Thank you, Melissa from Ring.
