“How is the battery is charged, is there a plug that goes from the outlet to the battery? Is there a connection from the battery to the camera as well? I am looking for a back-up to keep the cameras activated in the event of a power disruption.”

Hi Donald. Thanks for asking. Ring Power Packs are external backup batteries designed to provide extra power for Ring Alarm Pro and the eero 6 Extender. Ring Power Packs are meant to be plugged into your Alarm Pro all the time. When the power goes out, the Power Packs will keep your Alarm Pro on, and when the power returns, they will recharge themselves.
