You can wire this to your current doorbell transformer (the two wires that go to the button outside) and it will keep the battery fully charged. You cannot hook the doorbell to line voltage. Bad things will happen.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, there is. It’s in the initial setup.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can wire it to an existing powered doorbell line, but not to standard AC power. It is only designed to be powered from at low power standard door bell. If you want other continuous power, look into the POE or Power over Ethernet option. That gets costly fast though and will require you to get a POE switch and run an Ethernet line to the doorbell.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes you can as long as your existing doorbell has a transformer.

Additionally, if you do experience a power outage, your device should automatically reconnect once power is restored. Thanks, Kaitlyn R., Neighbor Satisfaction Specialist [email protected]
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Video Doorbell 2 has screw posts on the back that can be wired to an existing analog or digital (with included diode) doorbell chime wiring for supplementary power. Check the product manual on Ring's website for details. There's also a solar charging mounting plate but I haven't seen very good reviews on it - probably needs a good amount of sunlight to be effective since it's only tiny panels unlike the solar panel accessory for the Spotlight Cam.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. The Ring 2 can be wired or on battery.
