Hello Tank, Yes, this device can be connected to a transformer rated 8-24 VAC (40VA max) and 50/60Hz. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't believe so. There are other versions that are intended for hard wiring. This one has an integrated battery that charges via USB. So it won't work from the low voltage AC that drives a standard doorbell.
