The answer to your question is yes whatever option you want to do either record or not it gives you that option

Yes, when your Ring Alarm activates, you can set your cameras to record, lights to activate, and siren to sound. If you have a Ring Home Plan, your Ring videos from linked devices will show in your Event History as a Linked Event. Follow these steps in the Ring app to link or unlink your Ring Alarm: Open the Ring app to the main dashboard. Tap the Alarm tile under Devices. Tap your device's Settings. Tap Linked Devices. Choose the action that triggers other devices. Tap Alarm Sounding or Entry Delay. Select the desired devices to Record event, Turn on lights, or Sound Siren when your Base Station is activated. To Unlink devices, deselect the desired features. Tap Save. Note: Not all devices offer light and siren activation. Available actions depend on device type.
