Battery lasts at least two week and can house two batteries at the same time. It will warn you as one gets low. You have to buy the additional battery. As one gets low, it switches to the other. About 35 dollars for the second battery and well worth it at Bestbuy. Battery charges in about 3 hours

The rechargeable battery can go months between recharges with normal use. This is dependent on a number of factors in your home’s environment, such as the local weather and the number of activities captured. You can use a common micro-USB cable, such as the orange one included in your Ring box, to charge the battery. Simply plug it into any USB power source. The battery can take around 5–10 hours to fully charge, depending on whether the USB cable is plugged into a USB port or a wall outlet.
