Hi Mark, The Ring Spotlight Cam was designed to be powered via an AC adapter. Making any modifications to the device or the cable will void the warranty. Bilan J, Customer Satisfaction Specialist [email protected]
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. Just cut off the plug and strip the wires. There's a black and white wire inside. I plugged in and set up prior to cutting off the plug. I installed and got it hardwired and it turned right on and was ready to go.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The spot light cam has a 3 prong plug on the end so you would have to cut it off and then make your connections. May want to consider putting a outlet plug somewhere along the line of your power source therefore not voiding the warranty on your cam.
