A:AnswerYes it can if you cut off the factory three prong cord leaving just a few inches. You should get the ring duel spotlight cam that can mount to any standard outside fixture box. The wires of the spotlight cam are already in the configuration you desire.
A:AnswerHi Joseph,
Great question.
Our Ring Spotlight Cam Wired comes with a 20-foot power cable.

A:AnswerWithout Ring Video Recording (Protect Plan), you will still receive alerts, and you’ll still get live streaming video and two-way audio, so you can see, hear and speak to guests in real-time, as the event is happening. However, if you don’t have Ring Video Recording (Protect Plan) and you miss an alert or a live event, you will not be able to review the video. Ring Video Recording (Protect Plan) will save all of your recordings to your Ring account for up to 60 days, and with Ring Video Recording, you can also review the videos, download them to local storage, and share them via social media, text and email.
Hope this helps...
A:AnswerContact an electrician, Turn your power off, remove your outside porch light 115 vac unit. Have the ring hard wired by electrician to where your porch light previously mounted at your back door. They will not see any wires. I
A:AnswerI removed the cord from the camera. It’s not a big deal. You just need very small screwdriver. I used a knife. Then I drilled a half inch hole through the wall and fed it through from my basement. Then reattached it and attached camera to outside wall. But yes, if they notice that you opened it, it probably will void the warranty.
A:AnswerIt’s not suppose to be, but I did it and it works great! At first the tilt looks strange (like it’s pointed downward too much), but when you view the camera via the app, the picture looks perfect (not too tilted).
A:AnswerI have my corded spotlight cam over my garage. I drilled a hole in the wall, and dropped the cord into my attic, and through the popcorn ceiling in the garage to plug it into the same outlet as the garage door opener. Not sure if it is certified, but it’s exactly what I needed to do.
A:AnswerHi Ringo,
Ring devices are weather proof, not water proof. Ring products will work in freezing temperatures and are resistant to rain. In general, Ring doorbells and Cam products with batteries are rated for operating temperatures between -5 to 120 degrees F. (-20 to 50 degrees C.). Cam products without batteries are rated at -22 to 120 degrees F (-30 to 48.5 degrees C).
A:AnswerThe light is sufficient, it’s not a flood light, it’s not gonna light a whole pool deck or garden, but it’s bright Enough to see objects in the dark we use in the entrance to our home it’s great the light comes on auto and it’s plenty to open the front door stays on about 3 mins that can be altered, I highly recommend the ring products superb and does the job perfectly,
