Hello Amber, Good question! The Ring Stick Up Wired uses a Barrel Plug style indoor/outdoor power supply (included), so there is no internal battery on this device. Further, it is compatible with 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi connections @ 2.4GHz. If it gets unplugged it will lose it's wifi connection and not be able to communicate with your wifi network or the Ring App to send notifications or record videos.
