I just hosed off the side of my house and some water ran down the house and my ring doorbell stopped working. I think Im going to try another brand

After following all troubleshooting steps with a live Ring agent, it was determined the unit was water damaged. It was in use for less than 6 months and they did not cover it under warranty. It had withstood worse storms than the one that knocked it out and it is installed under a portico. I'm assuming the wind was blowing the rain in at just the right angle.

In general, Ring doorbells and Cam products with batteries are rated for operating temperatures between -5 to 120 degrees F. (-20 to 50 degrees C.).
