Hi Flg01. Thanks for asking! The Ring Video Doorbell 4 is weather-resistant and rated for temperatures ranging from -5°F to 120°F (-20°C to 50°C). When hardwired, the device allows charging in the range of 32°F to 113°F (0° to 45°C); otherwise, charging is disabled. Please note that motion detection can sometimes trigger "false" alerts because of moving trees, lightning, the rising or setting sun, reflections off a shiny object, headlights, shadows, and more. To reduce false alerts, adjust your motion zones, remove shiny objects, cut back tree branches that create moving shadows, or angle your device to avoid the sun. We invite you to reach out to our Community if any additional information is needed regarding your question. The Ring Community is our first peer-to-peer community forum, giving our customers the ability to help one another by sharing their feedback and experiences with each other. All the best, Nicole from Ring.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't know because mine is on a covered deck. I have several other ring products around the house which are in direct sunlight and the picture is great.
