“Where it says it must be wired.. does that mean the camera too? Or does the camera work completely on wifi and only power needs to be wired? Thanks”

If I understand your question correctly, you are wiring power to this device which has built in wifi to connect to your home router. Basically, this is connected to the power wires from your old doorbell (which the Pro replaces). Once that is done, you then go through the process of wirelessly connecting the Pro to your home router via wifi.

However, the video connection is over WiFi. When you install the doorbell, the app will walk you through connecting to you home internet.
