• Yes, if you want to store or review videos, you’ll need to pay a yearly fee (which is around $30). Otherwise it’s live feed only. There is a grace period, but then that goes away.

• YES. DO NOT BUY THIS. Everything online said that it didn't cost anything to use the Ring device, it does. During the Ring trial the Protection Basic indicated that $30 a year was for all Ring devices, IT IS NOT. Only after the free trial period expired did it state that the basic plan was for ONE SINGLE DEVICE. Ring devices are basically useless without the Protect plans. Thankfully I only purchased my additional devices and solar chargers 2 days before the trial ran out and will be returning them all. And I will be uninstalling my current device and returning it and if Best Buy doesn't give me a return I'll be filing complaints with the Better Business Bureau.
