Nothing - if someone wants to take a pry bar to the frame they will get it - damaging both the ring and your door at the same time. There are built in theft deterrents that will make it hard to steal, but if someone REALLY wants it, they will get it. The good news is that Ring has a policy that they will replace the doorbell if it ever gets stolen so you will have that security blanket for the life that you are a customer.

Please try again later.The Ring Door Bell is secured to its mounting plate by a latching mechanism and two retaining screws (vertical) that require a special bit to hold the device in place. That way you can use the special bit to remove the door bell it if you need to change the device without destroying the mount. As far as protecting it from damage by a small pry bar: nothing is going to save the device from that sort of assault. Most likely the pry bar approach will destroy the device and render it useless. But if it somehow survived such an attack and was useable it could be identified by Ring on their online system because each unit has a unique identifier. Therefore when someone tried to use it and the Ring Doorbell logged itself into the Ring cloud it would be detected and its location would also be detected.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It's as secure as you make it. Nothing will stop a determined thief, however If someone steals the unit, the manufacturer will replace it. I presume the manufacturer would ask for the video of the theft- another reason to record to the cloud.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.That is exactly why I use industrial strength Velcro to mount my battery Ring doorbell. I would rather them take it without destroying my door. And, you will have their picture on your phone so you will know who took it. The industrial strength Velcro is really, really strong and holds the unit very firmly. I've had it over a year and it has not fallen once. Using the Velcro also allows me to move it in several different locations.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The bracket is mounted by 4 small screws with wall anchors. The screws are about an 1 inch maybe. then the actually device attaches to the bracket with two small screws at the bottom. You can probably pry it off with a screwdriver but it would either take the wall anchors with it or the piece of wood if that's what you mounted it on.
