Yes! I’ve been using the Ring doorbell and security cameras at our house in Costa Rica for several years now and, providing you have decent internet, it works great! The only caveat is that Ring’s Neighbors app is not available and doesn’t work for that location, but the Ring doorbell and camera app itself functions flawlessly (most of the time). We use Ring at our home in Florida as well and I love being able to monitor and receive notifications for both houses on the same app. I attached a screenshot of my Ring app settings showing how you can easily toggle between locations when you want to manually view cameras at one house or the other, but it doesn’t matter which location you’re viewing when it comes to activity notifications. I receive notifications regardless of which location I am currently using as my “active” view. You can also customize what notifications you receive. I hope they make the Neighbors app available in Costa Rica soon as it’s a really useful tool, but you don’t need it for the Ring app itself to function. We have the 2 houses on Ring right now, and I’m going to be adding a Ring system on our boat too. I’m curious to see how that will work using Starlink for the internet connection and moving around to different countries. I don’t see why it wouldn’t work, but we shall see. :-). I understand that this question was posted a couple of years ago now, but I hope my answer will be helpful to anyone else wondering about whether Ring will work in Costa Rica - or beyond!

We cannot guarantee that a device designed for use in the United States will work in Costa Rica. We always recommend to wait until our devices are sold in your region to ensure they work properly. You can find a list of countries our devices are sold in on our website here: https://ring.com/country-selector Also, Ring Community was launched to help deliver the most current news and educational information to our neighbors. This online forum is divided into four categories: Product Boards, Ring Updates, Tips + Tricks, and a Moderators’ Corner. The Product Boards are where you can begin new topics with your questions or feedback; there is also a search option that helps you find topics that have already been posted by other neighbors. We invite you to visit our site at https://community.ring.com/ today! All the best, Antonio from Ring
