The box fine print says 2.4GHz. You would need a more expensive 5GHz model with likely better resolution, or as in my case a dual router that offers both 2.4 and 5GHz.

The Ring Video Doorbell Wired requires an 802.11 b/g/n wifi connection at 2.4 GHz and a minimum upload speed of 1 Mbps, but 2 Mbps is recommended for optimal performance.
