The Ring Wired Doorbell will work with your existing doorbell wiring as long as your transformer is within the supported range of 10 to 24VAC, 10 to 40VA, 50/60Hz. It's important to know that this doorbell operates through the Ring app and your Wi-Fi network rather than through a traditional alarm panel. If your alarm company originally installed a Ring doorbell, you can simply set up this new one on your existing Ring account using the app and your existing wiring. One thing to note is that the Ring Wired Doorbell requires existing doorbell wiring for its power supply, but it does not sound your existing doorbell chime. To hear audio alerts in your home, pair it with a Ring Chime or compatible Alexa device (each sold separately).
