No all you need to do is switch to a station that has less interference.

Make sure you are using your transmitter with a radio station that is not already broadcasting any audio, otherwise it won't be very effective. In order to change stations and find which one works best in your area, hold down on the red cell phone symbol on the transmitter until the red LED numbers start flashing. Then, change the station with the arrows on the side of the transmitter until you find one that works best for your area.
