• yes works great to reaplace and sound card in the computer. my hp computer was doing the same thing .so i order it Plug it into the usb on the tower and green speaker plug into greeen port .Now i full sound from the computer and the speakers.

• Exactly the problem I had. Don't spend a lot of money on an internal card. Just plug in th USB, load the driver and plug in your speakers.
