- Answer This will only work in optical port. You would need an adapter to convert from RCA to optical if your device does not have a factory optical port

- Answer You connect your cable box to the TV the same way as normal. When you connect this to the TV then to the sound bar the TV sound will go through the sound bar not the tv.
