This was my exact reason for looking at this device. I bought it and ended up returning it because it did not meet that need. It will only use one HDCP version for both output ports. It can not negotiate HDCP 2.2 to the TV and HDCP 1.4 to the receiver and defaults to the higher of the two. So I got picture and no audio with both plugged in. If you unplug one or the other you can get picture or audio but never both together. You can always try ARC(audio return channel, HDMI 1.4) or eARC(enhanced audio return channel, HDMI 2.1) between your receiver and television.
