“Will this device work as follows: One output connected to a home theater receiver unit and then on to a projector; the other output connected to a conventional tv for cue monitoring purposes? When the projector isn't in use, will the tv still work?”

Yes that will work. I am splitting the signal between 2 different monitors myself and both monitors work together and/or independently. Product works great!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.yes, it will work, but there are some issues that you need to be aware of. Such as when first powering up for two displays you need to power up the lower resolution display first (most of the time it's the projector.). and when you shut off the projector the TV might not have the highest resolution in use.
