“I only have 1 HDMI plug on my old TV to which Fios box is connected, so I can't plug Apple TV. Will this device allow me to plug Fios + Apple TV if I plug it in the TV ? Thanks.”

No. This device splits a signal to 2 different TVs. What you're looking for is an HDMI switch. A switch takes multiple signals and let's you choose which 1 you want to see on you're TV through 1 input.
