The Splitter will mix the EDID of end devices, and select same EDID information of end devices to the source. In order to avoid the problem that the screen cannot be displayed due to the different EDID of the end devices.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It should be processing the lowest resolution EDID information and sending it back through so the resolutions will match on both devices. However; I have mine hooked up to an 1080p HD capture card and a 4K TV for gaming purposes and this device will not read the information from my capture card and send the information back to limit the resolution. I get 4K and HDR10 on my TV but no source displayed on my capture card. I'm still trouble shooting to see if there's something wrong with the device or it just won't function as intended for my setup. Hope this helps
