“I have a direct tv box I want to split to a tv in a different room. I have Cat 5 cable ran to that room and bought the converter kit. Is this compatible with cat 5 cable as long as I have a converter before and after the cat 5 cable?”

• I have used cat 5 cable converters to HDMI, but I have not used this unit for that purpose. However, I used this with another application involving a monitor out from my camera to a video switcher and a wireless transmitter, and it worked fine. I have noticed that I have latency issues if I connect different length HDMI cables, but it is hardly noticeable. So, just keep that in mind if you are looking for synchronized delivery to both monitors (i.e, TVs).
