“I want to be able to watch Apple TV on two TV sets. One is right next to the Apple box, the other in an adjoining room approximately 30' away. I want to watch the same program on both TV's. Will this splitter accomplish that?”

I don't know the answer. You have to have an HDMI cable for the splitter to work. There is a wireless system Best Buy sells that mirrors what's on one tv and will show it on another. That might be the route you need to go since the sets are in different rooms
