“I am looking to run input from cable out to my projector screen and out to my Sony soundbar surround system, is this possible with this item? Most reviews talk about running output to 2 different tvs or monitors but not different devices.”

Hi, it is possible to use this device to do what you want to do. However if you have an av, receiver that has hdmi why don’t you let that do your switching for you unless, you are trying to share the same image from the same input. What this splitter is going to do is split the same output to go to two different sources. I used this to split the same image that I had to two different monitors. Hopefully you find this helpful
