If i'm not mistaken what it actualy implies is that the wire from the outlet to the service panel must not be more than 30' that's a basic rule for surge supressors since more distance would in fact creat a resistance to the flow of surge current, if your outlet is more far away don't worry too much this is better than not having protection.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. That doesn’t sound safe.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Never use a longer extension cord than you need. I do not know why a medium duty grounded extension cord would not suffice.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't see why it won't "work" however I wouldn't recommend it as a permanent solution. Entension cords are prone to overheating and causing fires under heavy continuous load. I don't know if they can handle actual surge conditions either.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Since the outlet is not grounded, any equipment plugged into it will also not be grounded and I doubt it will not function properly since it will not allow it (Rocketfish surge protector) to function as a surge protector. A surge protector diverts or shorts any surges/ spikes in electricity to the ground. Since your outlet is not grounded, there is no place for it to divert the excess power to. I would suggest you contact an electrician about fixing that for you.
