It means that if the product malfunctions under their specified terms of "Proper" use that you will be reimbursed up to $100,000 dollars. (That does not guarantee that if something goes wrong that they are going to pay you the full $100,000 dollars, but it means that whatever your electronic items that were plugged into their surge protector they should reimburse you for the cost of all those items. And worse case scenario: If the surge protectors malfunction causes an electrical fire than obviously that's the main reason for such a large lump sum of cash.) I hope that answers your question....
