• I wouldnt use it as a converter in Europe. I travel to Germany and check and have learned the hard way and fried two of my electronics. You must use a converter designed specifically for the purpose and country its made for.

• No, The outlets in Europe are different than in America and the voltage is different, 220 vs 110 Buy a recommended package of converters/plugs for use in Europe. Check the country you plan to visit by googling for specific type and voltage.
