If you have a modern receiver/amplifier that does not have a dedicated phonograph input, you probably need to add a preamp between the turntable and the receiver.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Most modern receivers do not have a dedicated phono input. You can connect your turntable to an available line input but you will need a pre-amp in-between to boost the phono level to line level. Something like this.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm assuming the turntable you purchased doesn't have built in speakers? You will need to hook it up to a sound system or headphones if that's the case. Mind sharing what make/model turntable you have currently?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Make sure it's connected properly. (phono input, etc.) Also, need more specifics about why it is not working.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The needle cartridge on some turntables put out very little voltage. If this is the case, you may need a pre-amp between your turntable and amplifier. (not really a pre-amp, actually an impedance modifier)
