• A:Answer If you have legacy equipment, then you must use RCA interconnects. If your Samsung is not old, then it’s going to have at least three different options to connect, including HDMI. The limiting factor will the be what your Sony receiver will accept.

• A:Answer I doubt it. That has more to do with what signal the Polk Solo sound bar is getting from your tv and not with the cable. If it hasn't worked in the past, it is unlikely it would work now. Sadly, you might still need to use the Polk remote, but that is a guess.
