• The silver side just reflects the light as it is. The gold side increases the reds making it more golden, like the sunset light.

• I am guessing you mean "gold SIDE" (of the reflector). The gold will warm up whatever you're reflecting light on to. The silver maintains the color of the light that's being reflected.
