A:Answer Yes. Mounting screws are vertically oriented and attach to any vertical stud. However, you must choose one stud or another and cannot mount between studs. There is limited horizontal adjustment using the extendable arm. So if the stud is close you where you want it, you can probably finesse the arm to where you want the TV, But if your preferred location more than 3-4" away from closest stud, you might be better off with a bigger mount that attaches to two studs and has a wider range of horizontal adjustment.
