• Yes. I have an older Panasonic plasma (about 90 lbs.). This mount is great, just make sure you hit the center of the studs when mounting. It has plenty of travel, so it's forgiving.

• very probably. It's designed to attach to all kinds of TV's and it's weight is on the specs as supporting up to 130lb.
