It is very flexible. You mount it to the wall based on the location of your studs, but the TV itself can be moved left or right on the mount to ensure it is placed where you want it.

There are three bolt locations for top left, top right, lower left and lower right. You pick which locations to use based on how far apart the studs in your house on. There should be plenty of flexibility.
