Suggest make the connection as strong as possible. I do not know what you referring to as lug bolts so cannot comment on using longer lug bolts. The information given does not indicate what material makes up the 9/8 thickness. If this is multiple layers of sheetrock then lag bolts need to be long enough to extend past this far enough to grip into studs.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If I were you, I would get another wall mount. This is really flimsy. Every time I move this it tilts sideways and we are not able to fix it. We have to call our son over to do it. This is the first wall bracket we have had problems with.
