I don't think so. I had a tilt only(low profile) wall mount before, which was flush with the wall, but I did not like it. Now I can position the TV for my full viewing pleasure even if I am in the kitchen. It is also much easier to connect your computer and other devices to your TV if you have a full motion wall mount. I am very happy that I switched wall mounts.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No I mounted my 55" slim LED TV, I have approximately 3" from the wall to the TV, really not much space behind, it still looks good, and I have full range of movement. I can adjust the TV to any viewing angle in the house.
