The computer will recognize the monitor resolution (you may have to use Control Panel/ Display to set it to the best resolution and to recognize the monitor rather than using a generic setting). This is also partly dependent on the operating system and video card capability but the resolution you mentioned has been commonly supported for many years. Good luck.
