• I was connecting a DVI monitor to an HDMI input of a projector. It worked great. Im not sure what you are trying to do with three monitors. Can you give me more details.

• It is just an adapter to covert between DVI/DVI-D to HDMI. If you are going long distances, you will need a powered HDMI converter.
