“Driver Will Not Install I downloaded the Broadcom driver to my PC desktop to use with Windows XP. I double clicked on the setup icon to run it. It prompted me to plug in the adapter. It would not detect the device. The install stopped with a message, "Could not read Blootooth Device information, please reboot your computer and try again". I did this several times with no success. The adapter is not shown in Control Panel/Bluetooth Devices. Control Panel/Bluetooth Configuration does not see the adapter as well.”

Try uninstalling the RF-MRBTAD adapter and drivers. Also uninstall any Bluetooth software (http://www.broadcom.com/support/bluetooth/update.php) that may have came preinstalled on the computer. After rebooting the computer, reinsert the adapter letting the computer to pick drivers to install for it. Then you will need to save (click save not run) the Broadcom software to your computer and install it which will give additional functionality over the built-in software.
