I have this antenna and works great. Some of the newer TVs don’t have a TV tuner, does yours?

You must also have a tuner in your new tv. I do believe some of the less complete (expensive) 4K TVs may not have a tuner and instead rely on your cable/sat box to do the tuning. Your 4K TV may have an up scaling feature to convert your HDTV signal to 4K picture although it may not be the same quality as a native 4K signal. I don't know if local stations can send a 4K signal to sat or cable providers but the picture I get from my sat provider (when it's not pixelated or stopped by rain, snow, a leaf blowing across the dish) on my 65" LG 4K OLED sure seems like 4K and is all I could ask for.
