You have to take it down.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I was able to install this on my wall mounted 55" TV with a full articulating mount without removing the TV from the wall. It connects to the two lower mount holes on the TV. I was able to remove the two lower screws and piece it together. If you do it this way you'll need another person to help. I had somebody hold the TV as extra support while working.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had the Geek Squad install my 65" UHDTV and the full motion mount. I was able to easily install brackets by positioning the tv mount away from the wall and removed 1 mount screw from the tv to the mount, install the bracket and tighten; then do the same on the other side. CAUTION should be used to make for sure the screw starts correctly so you don't strip out the treads. I suggest to make sure all screws are firmly in place and tightened correctly, then swing the mount out so you have access and once you remove a screw DO NOT move the tv or mount until the screw is holding the soundbar bracket and threaded correctly. Trying to move the wall mount bracket and tv with only 3 screws mounted through the bracket to the tv can allow it to shift making it very difficult to get the screw with the soundbar bracket started.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have a 65" Sony and I didn't need to remove it from the full motion wall mount. I was able to pivot the TV enough to get them put on. Good luck
