In regards to using this bracket, can the soundbar be tightened to sit nearly flush with the TV? null

I was able to tightened the bracket enough to get the LG sound bar to sit parallel to the bottom of the TV with about a 1/4 inch gap. I'm happy with the installation.

Yes, the mounting bracket will allow a "nearly" flush fit but I noticed that the LG sound bar has a very slight bow that will sit flush at the middle but will leave a slight clearance at either end. I finally settled on the Polk Magnifi. That sound bar has controls top dead of the bar but with the remote control you won't need to access those 4 switches. The Polk also sits flush at the center but also leaves a clearance at botth ends. I like this bracket because i can set tension of the screws that will allow me to level ten sound bar so the clearance looks balanced on both ends for a professional looking looking installation.

Yes. You can adjust it to your preference. Mine is flush.
