• No, it's line level. It'll require an active sub, or an amplifier to drive the passive speaker.

• Intended for powerd subs but if you have another amplifier to power a passive sub with a rca jacks it would probably work. It is just a device to transmit a radio signal so you can move your sub to hide it, or to better sounding location without a wire going across floor.
