“My unit seems to have a very high threshold on the input signal before it will start transmitting. I ran a test tone from the receiver and had to crank the sub level and the volume to over half way on the receiver before it would transmit the signal.”

Yep. This is this product's downfall. It has a "sleep mode" it stays in, and goes into when it shouldn't. Very, very annoying.

Please try again later.Make sure the volume knob on the back of the sub-woofer is at 100% and than turn the sub-woofer level on your receiver up till its as loud as you like it. The wireless kit may get messed up if you have both the sub-woofer and the receiver filtering the power level. Also make sure your using the "Stereo" or "6-ch Stereo" option if your receiver has built in pre-sets because iv noticed alot of the other effects limit the sub-woofer level alot.
