• No monthly fee for using Roku. However, you need wi-fi, so you'll be paying a monthly fee for Internet access (but you probably already do).

• I suppose you could get by without paying anything. There is a good bit of free content that loads automatically when the Roku is installed. Sling TV has a couple of TV packages that are available for about $20 per month.
