Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, you can connect it directly to your TV. I connected the video lead to a component video input on my TV and the audio leads to a stereo for better sound.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It has an RCA connection so it hooks into an older TV.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Just simply connect two wires to your TV. If your TV has an HDMI input connect the HDMI wire from your streamer box to the TV. If your TV does not have an HDMI input, then purchase the streamer box with the RCA type wires (Red,White and Yellow cables) and connect those wires from the output of your streamer box to the input of your TV. This connection is color coded accordingly. The second wire is of course your electrical cord plug going out from your streamer box to your electric plug input. You are then ready to enjoy fantastic viewing of streaming programming. You do not need a laptop but you will need a WIFI connection modem provided by your cable or satellite provider.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Roku I bought to use with my older TV has ports for AV (Audio/Video) connection (Yellow, Red & White) and HDMI, neither which which will connect to my laptop. I have my Roku connected to the TV with the HDMI cable. The internet connection comes from my wireless router that broadcasts to the Roku. That being said, there are also Roku Sticks which look like flash drives and plug directly into the USB port on your computer. That sound like what you may be looking for.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We were able to connect directly to our older tv but had to also purchase some type of adapter. The salesman helped in that.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The tv will need to have a HDMI connection. You maybe able to find some sort of converter online. The older Tivo units had other component connections. You do not need to hook to laptop, The bolt has wifi and an Ethernet connection.
