• You do not need to have wireless internet to use this device. There is an Ethernet port in the back, so you can have a hard-wired connection. The only limitation is that you would have to have your router close by, or have a really long Ethernet cable to reach the device. Hope this helps!

• Roku 2 plugs into our wall via CAT5 cable to get internet. I don't believe this version is wireless. If you want wireless, you need the Roku Stick.

• Yes, I use my own Motorola Surfboard Modem/Router combination to access Comcast and connect to Roku.
