“Difference between Roku 2 model 2720R and 4210R? Does anyone know the difference between the 2 models of Roku 2 besides 2720R having access to 1500 channels and 4210R having 2000 channels? I did a comparison but 2720R did not have much info filled in. Thanks, Gail”

Only difference is the 4210 has the same processor as the roku 3. Much faster. It also does not have the headphone jack in the remote. For me the faster processor is worth losing the headphone jack.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The main differenace is the hardware inside. The Roku 2 4210R uses the same hardware in the 2014/2015 Roku 3 (newer faster processor) and the Roku 2 2720R uses an older hardware that makes the system a little sluggish.

Please try again later.2720R is 2013, which has a slower 600 vs 900 processor, no ethernet, micro sd or USB port, has netflix w.o. names, does support older tvs connections. scroll down on wikpedia page to see a color coded desciption. Both are infared remote,no wifi emitted,other remotes emit harmful levels. Best part you can shut off wifi because microwave radiation is a health hazard.

Roku 2 4210R (2015) v Roku 2 2720R (2013) The 2015 has the same processor as both Roku 3 models and therefore runs much quicker and smoother. The newer model has also done away with the old Standard Definition analog connections and kept only the High Definition connection. Please try again later.From my understanding, the new 2015 Roku 3 got a hardware upgrade to be faster etc. The new 2015 Roku 2 (Model #: 4210R) got the old Roku 3 internal hardware to essentially give it an upgrade as well. Functionally there shouldn't be any real difference between the old and new Roku 2 other than the fact the new Roku 2 should operate much smoother due to getting the Roku 3's old internals.
